I have been privileged recently with some insightful, searching clients who

have enriched me, as much as,I hope, I  have offered a mirror to their

unfolding journey in life. I continue to feel drawn towards my

particular approach of Tarot/Astrology with psycho-spiritual counselling,

as the area in which I can offer authentic gifts. it is not everyone’s ‘cup of tea’

( i.e. if you want more concrete psych-ism or clairvoyance)

but my style seems to go to the core of people and empower them, ‘

 regardless of the ‘outcome’ of a situation

I am ‘down -to – earth’ and really engage in a partnership with the client.

The theme of the inner journey and the confrontation of

ones shadow has been a key theme of late.

The card of the Tower  has been  significant as shocks and hard times

can cause so much disruption, but lends light as to what are really

the values/beliefs we hold ,

and can force painful feelings from the past and the not so ‘nice’ sides

of us to emerge.

I am reading a book called ‘Shadow Dance by David Richo’, and

given i have read many Jungian, psychology and self help books,

attended many workshops and courses, done much therapy etc,

I have  found this book to be one that

speaks to me so clearly. its’ focus on practical ways and giving frameworks to

actually embrace and love ones shadow is profound. its descriptions of the

inner psycho- spiritual has had me marking so many paragraphs, and going

AHAA!! so many times.

David Richos insight has had me unable to put the book down.

I would highly recommend it.

It brings in the shadow of the Devil and dissipates the fear he engenders,

the acceptance

of the  Hanged man,

the gold in our shadow & the true Self of the Sun, and the wise one within,

in the Hermit

The Hermit from the Druid Craft Deck- Phillip Carr Gromm  and importantly

the delicacy of the Princess of Cups as the wounded child.

 Here are some details of my workshop:‘It’s delightful when a person wanting a

Tarot reading is cooperative,

open, likes your style, and is reflective. But what about the so-called ‘difficult’ clients,

who sit with their arms folded,saying very little, are behaving oddly, are angry,

defensive or distressed? How do you, as the reader,feel and respond

in these circumstances?

We’ve all had these clients and this workshop provides the opportunity

to look at these situations, assess what was going on, the motivations

behind such behaviour,

and our responses.

Practical Skills will be developed to be applied in your tarot readings.

 In this workshop Jenne Perlstein draws on her

extensive experience in Social Work, Medicine, psychology, spirituality,

and professional Tarot reader of 18 years to

help you understand why people could be presenting as:

    resistant

    obsessive

    dependent

    manipulative

    aggressive

    anxious

    demanding

    dreamy

    or just plain ‘odd’!

We will also look at what  you  are bringing into the room that may be

influencing the situation.We will look at situations from your own

experience..so come armed with examples!

 It will be interactive,looking at client’s underlying motivations,

your responses, but also challenging cards that may arise

e.g. a client obsessed with someone, and the card of Death or

10 of Swords comes up! We will look at how to respond and what further

strategies could be offered.

One Spirit Interfaith Seminary  

A big journey   for me in my calling has been studying with  the OSIS One Spirit

Interfaith Seminary  in New York as a distance learner,  since September 2013.

It has been profound and life changing as i learn about the faith traditions of the  world,

the deep experiential and true meanings & foundations of those religions

and related mystical spiritual paths.. We have the Divine within and are connected to each other,

to the Divine and the cosmos. We can experience the Divine’s love  directly..

My favorites have been sufism,( Mystic islam)

Hinduism and the deepening of Buddhist practice.

It is a 2 year course, with an emphasis on  the experiential and ones own spiritual development.

I will graduate ( En shallah) in June 2015.I have to go to New York to undertake

a 4 day intensive there late May ,

and I am planning other destinations as part of that trip ( see above)

and whilst from my perspective, I didn’t get huge numbers of clients ,

the clients I did get were so willing to deepen their lives ,i felt inspired by

them as we read. The connections and net working with other readers

was great.
